Welcome to Vincent Heckard Percussion

Vincent Heckard is a percussionist and drummer specializing in World and Latin Percussion. For more than 20 years,Vincent has brought his flare and exuberance to performances and recordings with distinguished bands, entertainment companies, and solo artists. His wide-ranging musical experience includes Afro-Cuban, Latin, and Brazilian jazz, funk, pop, bluegrass,  second line music, afrobeat and afrojazz, West African and Caribbean rhythms, samba, folklorico, and hip hop styles. Vincent was trained by Master Percussionist Ron Powell. 

Vincent currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee. Over the past few years, he has entertained audiences at the Latin Grammys, Dreamworks, NAMM, Los Angeles' Staples Center, Yoshi's Oakland, and other music festivals, private events and fundraisers, including Nashville's own Fisk Jazz Festival. 

Vincent has recorded with rising world music stars 8th Day on their 2014 critically acclaimed album Hooleh, Grammy-nominee Kelly Chapman, San Francisco's The New World Players, Los Angeles jazz ensemble Nostatic Trio, and others.
